Serving on a SAWCC Committee is a great opportunity to give back, develop and/or improve your leadership skills, and meet potential new clients. The committees help to implement the direction of our organization and serve our mission. Overall, your commitment will directly impact the success and advancement of women in our community. These are volunteer positions and we are respectful of your time commitment.
Events Committee members will be responsible for planning Networking Luncheons and Mixers, POWERhour! Luncheons and a Gala. Duties may include securing sponsors, venues and door prizes for all events.
Education - Smart Women Series Committee members will enhance professional development and personal awareness through the SMART WOMEN Series. Duties may include identifying and nominating subject matter and topics, securing business sponsors, presenters and venues for curriculum.
Education - Leadership Development Program Committee members will enhance professional development and personal awareness through programs such as the Leadership Development Program. Duties may include identifying and nominating subject matter and topics, securing business sponsors, presenters and venues for curriculum.
Business Development Committee Committee members will work closely with the Vice-Chair to continue to develop relationships with the community's corporate citizens. Duties may include visiting with potential Corporate members and delivering a packet of programs and other benefits with the Vice-Chair on scheduled appointments, and growing and developing corporate partner support by keeping Corporate members engaged and connected.
Membership Committee members will assist in coordination of the annual membership drive, promote membership renewals and will designate ambassador members who will promote the benefits of joining SAWCC to new member prospects at every event. Duties may also include conducting new member orientations and follow up with new members and new member inquiries.
Communications Committee members will work closely with all Vice Chairs and Directors to communicate information and promote events via email announcements, Facebook/ Twitter, media advisories, website updates, and newsletters. Duties may include assisting in writing articles for various events and follow up with Vice Chairs and Directors to obtain material necessary to meet deadlines for submission.
